Words That Carried Me

Original archive · Thursday December 19, 2024 - Day 1,014As I sit here three years later reflecting back on this day I can’t help but recall the pure helplessness of not only losing my son but being away from my wife. I sat alone in a quiet dark house just me, the dog, and our three cats drowning in the sorrow of having lost my son. Amidst the sorrow I did come across messages from videos that were recommended to me on my YouTube account. One of which I will never forget. I came across the story of Abraham and Sara from the Bible. This resonated with me because as the story goes they had trouble having children and it wasn’t until they grew very old that they finally were able to have a baby. This gave me that glimmer of hope amidst the utter deafening darkness I was sitting in at that moment.
Original archive · Thursday December 19, 2024 - Day 1,014It was three years ago today that I had to say goodbye to my wife as she was transferred to Mount Sinai hospital in NYC. Due to complications with her blood work she needed to receive care the hospital here in NJ simply couldn’t provide. This left me with the sitting home, alone.
