Before losing my son I was lost. I would get up in the morning and fall out of bed dreading the day. I had no real purpose, no internal compass that guided me through my day.

I used to tell myself that I wasn’t a morning person and now I get up on most days around 6AM and get after it. I have transferred my focus from things that we’re bringing me down and started focusing on things that build me up.

After losing my son I realized my WHY and that has given me the inexplainable fire that has transformed my life.

We are told to be grateful in everything and this an extremely hard concept to grasp in times like this. Despite the complexity of this idea I’m grateful for the gift I believe I have been given from God through my son. A gift that transcends my understanding but I grab ahold of that gift every day as I pursue my journey to be 1% better for my son. I truly believe that it is my purpose to share my gift with all of you so that Max can live on in everyone and inspire them to take up their own journey to be 1% better.
